HOW TO MAKE PERFECT PETIT FOURS

Today (finally), I’m going to share How to Make Perfect Petit Fours.  The first couple of occasions I made petit fours, they have been a extreme headache for me.  I didn’t love the recipe I was using, the icing was a nightmare and my  technique for reducing and overlaying them was a mess.

And I couldn’t cease consuming them.  For reals.   OH – permit me explain my use of the phrase “perfect”.

They don’t seem perfect… removed from it.  That will take extra train on my facet and I’m no longer fairly there yet.  But the style and texture… yep.  Perfect!

I stated to a shopper that they weren’t proper and she said, “If they regarded perfect, I wouldn’t trust they have been homemade.”  Good point.  Mine aren’t perfect, but as soon as you chew into one, you won’t care!

SIMPLE BUTTER CAKE FOR PETIT FOURS

DESCRIPTION
Beautiful Petit Fours which might be quickly and simple to make for any occasion.

INGREDIENTS:
2 3/4 cups sugar
3/4 cup salted butter, softened
3/4 cup shortening
2 tsp. vanilla extract
5 eggs
3 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup evaporated milk
1/4 cup sour cream

INSTRUCTIONS:
Cream collectively the sugar, butter and shortening till delicate then beat in vanilla. Add eggs, one at a time, till fluffy.
In a separate bowl, sift collectively the dry meals (flour, baking powder, and salt). Add this flour combination and the evaporated milk to the unique combination alternately. Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed, then fold within the sour cream.
Spread onto a parchment lined half sheet pan. Bake at 325°F till a toothpick inserted within the center comes out blank (25-35 minutes – but verify at 25 minutes!).
