This simple, flavorful dish is a huge part for any Asian-inspired meal. You too can turn it right into a principal course with tofu, tempeh, or different protein of your choice. INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. asparagus
1 lb. mushrooms
2 Tbsp. sesame oil
FOR THE GARLIC SAUCE
1/2 cup vegetable broth
2 Tbsp. tamari (or soy sauce)
1 tsp. sesame oil
2 cloves garlic
Optional: 1 Tbsp. cornstarch (for a thicker sauce)
INSTRUCTIONS:
Make the sauce: mince garlic, and upload all sauce foods to a small bowl. Stir to mix and set aside.
Halve or quarter the mushrooms, and cut the asparagus into 1-2 inch pieces.
In a huge skillet or wok over med-high heat, upload 2 Tbsp. sesame oil.
When hot, intently upload the mushrooms and prepare dinner for about 2 minutes.
Add the asparagus. Stirring often, prepare dinner for 3-4 minutes.
Add the sauce and prepare dinner for a pair extra minutes, or till vegetables attain wanted tenderness.
